How PriceRules works
- The problem: Which price does ACME pay? Customer prices end up split across price lists, override files and old quotes — each with a different answer.
- The inputs: One product, one customer, one rule. PriceRules keeps the product's base price, the customer and their pricing rule in one place.
- The resolution: The engine finds the rule that applies. It looks up the product, matches the customer, and picks the pricing rule for that customer.
- The calculation: 10% off the base price. ACME-10 takes 10% off $520.00, so ACME DISTRIBUTORS pays $468.00 per unit.
- The API: Your app asks, PriceRules answers. Your storefront or quoting tool requests the price over the REST API and gets the result with the rule behind it.
- The result: The right price, everywhere. Products, customers and pricing rules in one place, so every system gets the same customer-specific price.
